Abstract

The rights of religious minorities are a crucial topic in Islamic Sharia, requiring reevaluation and analysis amid the social and political transformations of contemporary Islamic societies. This study examines the rights of religious minorities within the framework of Islamic jurisprudential principles and analyzes the challenges in implementing these rights in Islamic states. It begins by exploring the jurisprudential foundations for minority protection based on Quranic texts and the Prophetic tradition and then evaluates the legal status of minorities in modern Islamic societies. The research highlights that while Islamic jurisprudence has the capacity to safeguard minority rights, practical implementation faces political and social obstacles. The study concludes with recommendations to improve the legal status of minorities within the framework of Islamic Sharia.
